Magazine Publishing
MELVYN GOH Melvyn Goh is the Chief Executive Officer of the M Media Group, under whose umbrella are published Forbes China, Forbes FYI , Harvard Business Review China, InformationWeek China and The Bund. Melvyn has over 20 years of experience in international publishing, working primarily in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. He is currently based in Shanghai.
Melvyn is recipient of the Dean’s Fellowship, MSc in Publishing, New York University and is a winner of the Media Education Scheme Award by the Singapore Government. He holds a degree in marketing, and is a graduate of the Institute of Company Secretaries and Administrators (UK). SIMRAN BHARGAYA
SPPC class of '81, Executive Refresher Class of '02 Writer New Delhi, India simranbhargava@yahoo.com Simran Bhargava wrote and edited for the India Today group for over a decade and served as an editor of the Indian edition of Cosmopolitan. She now freelances and writes a signed column called Simran on Saturday for Financial Express, a leading business newspaper. She is currently working on a book of short stories for children. Simran holds a Master's degree in Communication from Stanford University.
Andy Hersam is the Publisher of Runner's World magazine in New York City. Prior to Runner's World/ Rodale, Andy spent seven years at Sports Illustrated, where he was director of business development working on non-weekly related properties, start-ups and acquistions.

SPPC class of '01 Director General, Condé Nast de Mexico SA de CV Mexico City, Mexico othonleon@ipg.com.mx Othón León is responsible for Conde Nast's operations in Mexico and is leading the company's expansion plans in Latin America. He is also the new brand publisher for several well known international titles, including Vogue, Glamour, and Architectural Digest, but we have known him since he was the publisher of several niche publications covering movies, pop rock music, and personal finances at a smaller magazine publishing company. The Stanford Publishing Course, he says, was a turning point in his career and made it possible for him to advance rapidly in the publishing world.

Dominique Gibert is the founder and manager of DIATEINO, a publishing company based in Paris, specialized in self-growth, literature, and humour.

He is also former president of the Association of Bookseller and Publishers Training Organizations in Europe (ABPTOE) and former deputy general manager of Deusto, Gestion 2000, Ceac and Alienta (Grupo Planeta de Agostini). He has worked at top publishing houses in the United States, Europe, and Latin America, including Bertelsmann and Random House.

Based in Mexico City, Jose Alberto has more than 7 years of experience developing publishing projects for the Latin American market. He specializes in developing book series (fiction and non-fiction) and licensing products sold through alternative distribution channels such as kiosks. Planeta DeAgostini has offices in Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Spain and Portugal.
