The Stanford Professional Publishing Course
July 11-17, 2009 · Stanford, CA
This is not a course for those just entering the profession. It is designed for established publishing professionals who are interested in taking on broader responsibilities in their companies. A minimum of four years’ publishing experience is required; please note that most participants have more than that. Under certain circumstances, a waiver may be granted at the discretion of the director. International applicants must have good command of standard English speech as no written abstracts are provided.
TUITION & HOUSING COSTS Main Course:
$3,950 tuition*, plus $89/night housing package Main Course tuition includes Course materials, breakfasts and lunches, Opening Reception and Dinner, and closing Western Barbecue. Housing includes a 7-night package, with arrival on Saturday, July 11, departure on Saturday, July 18. Because of the intensive nature of the Course and valuable interaction with on-campus speakers and peers, participants are encouraged to stay in the on-campus student residence reserved for the Course. The package rate for a single room during the main Course is $623. *Shorter course, reduced tuition
International Pre-Course (optional):
$1,330 tuition*, plus $89/night housing package Additional tuition for the International Pre-Course covers materials, breakfasts and lunches, the Pre-Course Opening Reception and Dinner, and several field trips. Housing includes a 3-night package, with arrival on Wednesday, July 8, and covering the nights of July 9 and 10. *Reduced tuition EARLY APPLICATION DISCOUNT
Because enrollment is limited, we encourage you to apply early. If you submit your application by the early application deadline of April 15, 2009, and are accepted into the Course, you may deduct 10% from the total tuition fee. (Discount does not apply to housing.) GROUP DISCOUNT
If two or more participants from the same company apply together and are accepted into the Course, each may deduct 10% from the total tuition fee. (Discount does not apply to housing.) MAXIMUM DISCOUNT
Discounts may be combined for a maximum discount of 20%. LIMITED FINANCIAL AID is available. Application Fee
A $200 non-refundable application fee is due with your application.
(This fee is waived for those applying for financial aid.) Acceptance Notification
We accept qualified participants on a rolling admissions basis. Notification of acceptance will be mailed within one week of receipt of completed application and supplemental materials. Once the class has reached capacity, we accept no more participants regardless of the date of application.
Payment Deadline/Cancellation Policy
Full payment is due no later than June 15, 2009 in order to
secure your place in the Course.
CANCELLATION POLICY
To cancel please notify us in writing by June 15, 2009. You will receive a full refund less your $200 application fee. After that date, you will not receive a refund but you may defer your participation until the following year (any tuition increase will be assessed) or you may send a qualified substitute in your place (application required). |
