Pre-Course for Internationals
For those coming from outside the U.S., we offer (and strongly urge you to attend) the two-and-a-half-day Pre-Course designed specifically for internationals. This series of classes provides you with information about the U.S. publishing and digital media publishing landscape fundamental to understanding later sessions. (U.S. participants may take the Pre-Course at their discretion. The Pre-Course is open only to those accepted to the Main Course.)

Want to know more about what international publishing professionals can expect from the Course? Our Alumni Advisory Board--comprised of alumni of the Course--is available to answer your questions.

Pre-Course sessions focus on understanding the current U.S. market through tailored classes and field trips. This year's field trips will include:

  • A tour of Wired magazine
  • A tour of Weldon Owen Book Publishers
  • A tour of IDEO, named by Fast Company as one of the top five most innovative companies in the world
