Schedule for Main Course - July 12-19, 2008
The Main Course begins on Saturday, July 12, 2008 with registration and housing check-in from 11:00am to 2:45 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., the SPPC Class of 2008 gathers to meet one another and to hear an overview of the program. Faculty members on hand will join participants for our Opening Reception and Dinner, and evening speaker. Subsequent class days run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Study groups often meet from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. On some evenings, there are scheduled informal "fireside chats" featuring special guest speakers. The Course ends with a farewell dinner and celebration on Saturday, July 19.

Schedule for International Pre-Course - July 10-12, 2008
The Pre-Course registration and dormitory check-in take place on Wednesday afternoon, July 9, from 3 to 5 p.m. Classes begin on Thursday morning, July 10, 9:00 a.m. Additional classes and field trips are scheduled for July 11 and the morning of July 12. At 3 p.m. on July 12, Pre-Course participants join U.S. participants for the overview and opening session of the Main Course.

Topics
When you apply, you indicate your interest in following either the book or magazine track. Each day book and magazine workshops run concurrently, with participants attending classes in the track they have pre-selected. Where appropriate, the book and magazine tracks are brought together for general sessions that cover issues of interest to all participants.
